Dragon’s Grasp Cuff
Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement)
Description:
This intricately braided leather cuff coils around the wrist like a serpent, ending in a small yet fierce dragon’s head that clasps the base of one finger. The dragon's eyes may glow faintly when its magic is active.
While wearing this cuff, you gain the following benefits:
-
Dragon's Reflexes: You gain a +1 bonus to Dexterity saving throws.
-
Clutch of the Wyrm: Once per long rest, you can activate the cuff as a bonus action. For 1 minute, your unarmed strikes deal an additional 1d6 damage. The type of damage depends on the nature of the dragon head — it always "feels right," even if you can't explain how you know it's lightning today.
-
Draconic Grasp: As a reaction when a creature within 5 feet of you targets you with a melee attack, you can cause spectral dragon claws to lash out. The attacker must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity modifier) or take 2d6 elemental damage and have disadvantage on the triggering attack.
Attunement Requirements:
Requires attunement by a creature with at least one level in Monk, Rogue, or Sorcerer, or who has made a pact with a dragon or draconic entity.
Disclaimer:
The Dragon’s Grasp Cuff is not really magic nor is it responsible for any spontaneous growling, sudden urges to hoard shiny objects, or inexplicable cravings for raw meat. Side effects may include a heightened sense of awesome and confusing small children at markets. Consult your party wizard before prolonged use.
