This grotesquely magnificent Bag of Holding is fashioned from the hide of a slain black dragon. Its jaw remains hinged and must be pried open to access the pocket dimension inside. The exterior is made of thick, embossed cowhide—tough, resilient, The interior is unlined and faintly smells of sulfur and damp earth.

The bag functions as a standard Bag of Holding, with the following additional properties:

Properties

• Dragon’s Maw: The opening of the bag is a set of carved dragon teeth that shift slightly when touched. As an action, the bearer can command the bag to “bite” an adjacent creature. The target must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw (DC 13) or take 2d6 piercing damage as the maw snaps shut. This feature can be used once per short rest.

• Acidic Residue: Items stored in the bag for more than 24 hours take on a faint acidic scent and may show signs of corrosion. Non-magical metal items may suffer 1 point of damage per day unless protected.

• Black Dragon Intuition: While holding the bag, the user has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks to detect treasure, traps, or hidden doors in swamp or marsh environments.

• Hungry Void (Optional, DM’s discretion): If the bag contains no items for more than 3 consecutive days, it may attempt to consume the first unattended object placed within reach, up to 10 pounds in weight. This does not function as a mimic—just an attitude problem.

Created by the cult of Vorrak the Rot-Blooded, this bag was a symbol of status and savagery. Only those who dared to kill a dragon in its lair—and survive the acidic aftermath—were said to earn the right to carry such a grotesque trophy.
